The founder, Fotios "Frank" Papageorgiou, arrived in Canada from Greece in the late 1960's. With only primary-level academic education, he learned golden work experience from an early age at the Greek Central Market. He worked several jobs before landing in a fishmarket prior to his own location. After many years of hard work, he opened his own location. 50 years later, it stands as a Montreal landmark for fresh fish and smoked salmon.
Since 1979, our fish market in Montreal has proudly provided the community with the finest smoked salmon and freshest fish. For close to 50 years, we have been dedicated to sourcing high-quality, sustainable fish, ensuring our customers receive nothing but the best. Our family-owned market has become a trusted destination for fish lovers, offering an exceptional selection of fresh fish, expertly prepared in-house smoked salmon, and a welcoming, knowledgeable staff. Our famous smoked salmon is sought out from all over the world and has been transported globally by our customers.
